Jon is the Founding Director of the Chamber and comes to the executive role with a wealth of expertise in bilateral trade, having served as the Country Director of the Australian Ghanaian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He is an executive education expert and leading trainer in corporate ethics and performance management and the Director of the Institute for Ethical Studies, a capital building network, engaged in developing ethical and productive corporate and civic leaders across Africa.

Professor Kwesi Amponsah-Tawiah is a distinguished Organizational Psychologist, Professor of Organizational Development, and an accomplished board-level leader with deep expertise in corporate governance, human capital strategy, organizational transformation, and cross-sector collaboration. He brings a rare blend of academic excellence, international exposure,and practical business advisory experience, positioning him strongly to provide strategic leadership to the Ireland-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
With decades of experience advising public institutions, multinational corporations,development finance institutions, and extractive and service-sector organizations, Professor Amponsah-Tawiah has consistently supported organizations to align people strategy with business growth, regulatory compliance, and sustainable performance. His work spans organizational restructuring, leadership development, workforce productivity, occupational health and safety, and institutional effectiveness, all of which are critical to strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Ireland and Ghana.
He has provided high-level advisory and consultancy services to respected international and multinational organizations including the International Labour Organization (ILO), World Health Organization (WHO), International Finance Corporation (IFC), African Development Bank (AfDB), Vodafone Ghana, Unilever Ghana, Tullow Oil Ghana, Volta River Authority and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations. Through these engagements, he has supported policy development, private-sector competitiveness, and institutional reform experience that aligns directly with the mission of a bi-national chamber of commerce.
As a thought leader in Learning, Development, and Human Capital Governance, Professor Amponsah-Tawiah is deeply committed to building capable leadership pipelines and fostering productive employer-employee relations. He has extensive experience engaging senior executives, boards, regulators, and international partners, and is known for his ability to bridge academic insight with commercial realities.
His governance credentials are reinforced by his status as a Fellow of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Ghana, underscoring his competence in board leadership, fiduciary oversight, and strategic stewardship. He is also a Fellow of the COIL Institute for Global Networked Learning (USA) and a member of several international and national professional bodies, including the British Psychological Society, International Commission on Occupational Health, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (UK) Research Advisory Group, and the Ghana Psychological Council.
Professor Amponsah-Tawiah holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Nottingham (UK), as well as BA (Hons) and MPhil degrees in Psychology and Industrial &Organizational Psychology from the University of Ghana. With over 80 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, he is globally recognized for his scholarship in employee wellbeing, organizational change, workplace safety, and strategic HR management. As Chairman of the Executive ²Council of the Ireland-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Professor Amponsah-Tawiah offers:

Nana Offei Djan is the Head of Legal Services at Prudential Bank Ghana Limited, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Prudential Securities Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Prudential Bank. Nana was called to the Ghana Bar in June 2003, and has over 22 years of experience in both private and corporate legal practice.
Prior to joining Prudentual Bank, he served as Legal Officer for Ghana Prisons Service and as Practicing Lawyer with Archer, Archer and also with Messrs. Kye & Co. Legal Practitioners. With over 23 years in Legal Practice, over sixteen of which have in Corporate Banking, Nana comes to the Chamber's Advisory Council with depths of knowledge and experience in Corporate Legal Practice.

Kwame Boakye Attakora is a Materials Engineer with strong expertise in polymer design, manufacturing processes, and quality control within the production and industrial manufacturing sector. He has a growing specialization in sustainable materials and innovative fabric solutions, with a practical focus on cost efficiency and real-world application. Kwame combines technical engineering knowledge with business insight, enabling him to bridge the gap between product development and commercial viability. He is particularly interested in re-engineering materials for scalable, sustainable production across emerging markets.
Kwame holds B. Sc. in Materials Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is currently pursuing an MBA in Total Quality Management from the University of Professional Studies.
