The Ireland-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) has met with the Irish Ambassador to the Ecowas, accredited to Nigeria and Ghana in Accra on October 20, 2025 for bilateral engagement regarding the Chamber’s work.
The brief engagement afforded the IGCC to share its key objectives and support services with the Ambassador in the drive to create enabling environment that promotes trade, investment and cultural exchange between Ghana and Ireland. The Executive Director of IGCC, Jon Attakora, emphasised that the Chamber is focused on working with the private sector (SMEs) to leverage on the trade policies and opportunities offered by Ireland and Ghana, innovate and scale up into becoming export enterprises.
On his part, Ambassador Ryan encouraged the Chamber for its work. He reiterated Ireland’s contributions to the socio-economic development of Ghana dating back to the Gold Coast era. Ambassador Ryan asked for further bilateral engagements to make the Chamber’s work more relevant and effective to promoting trade and investment between the two countries.
